The Power of Gospel Conversations with Amber Hays | Episode 159
Have you ever wondered what it looks like to plant a church in a small town? Or how simple gospel conversations can change lives—starting with your own?
In this week’s episode of The Pastor Wife Life, I had the joy of chatting with Amber Hays, a pastor’s wife from Cleveland, Mississippi, where she and her husband Gabby are part of a new church plant called Renovate Church.
Listen to the Episode
Amber’s story is full of everyday faithfulness, holy obedience, and Spirit-led opportunities. What started as a calling to step into something new has become a beautiful picture of how God moves in college towns, coffee shops, and even the local McDonald’s.
A Church Plant Fueled by Faith
Amber and Gabby spent 2022 preparing to launch their church in 2023—and they did it with no guarantees, no big teams, and no flashy plans. What they did have? A willingness to say yes to God. And He has shown up in powerful ways—especially through their growing ministry to college students at Delta State University.
The Power of Gospel Conversations
Throughout our conversation, Amber kept coming back to one theme: gospel conversations. She didn’t mean sermons or scripted presentations. She meant real, honest, heart-level talks about Jesus in everyday life. Conversations over coffee. Moments in car rides. Text messages that turn into prayer opportunities.
These gospel conversations have not only impacted their town—they’ve transformed Amber herself.
Let’s keep the conversation going—how have gospel conversations impacted your life? I’d love to hear in the comments!
