060: Ministering to the Idle, the Fainthearted, and the Weak

In episode 60, host Jacque Garner shares Paul’s guidelines for ministering to the idle, the fainthearted, and the weak. This look at 1 Thessalonians 5:14 encourages us to look past our frustrations so we can love and serve the women of our church.
And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted,
help the weak, be patient with them all.
1 Thessalonians 5:14
Warn the Idle
the idle = the undisciplined, the unruly, the disorderly
Encourage the Fainthearted
encourage = to cheer someone up with soothing speech that includes a personal touch
fainthearted = a person who is lacking courage because they are not confident in their identity in Christ
Help the Weak
the weak = those who lack necessary resources and/or don’t have adequate strength leaving them frail and sickly
Be Patient with All
